Friends sponsoring a L.O.C.K.E.R box
During today's Board meeting, we decided to sponor the L.O.C.K.E.R. (Learning Opportunities! Connecting Kids! Experiencing Reading!) BOX project.
L.O.C.K.E.R. boxes are collections of multimedia items (board books, DVDs, puppets, and so on) that can be checked out as a unit. Each box has a particular theme, and is designed to be used by young children and their parents. The Library is trying to raise funds to create twenty such boxes, at the cost of $250.00 each.
The FNPL Board decided to sponsor a box, preferably with the theme of Friendship. If you are interested in sponsoring a L.O.C.K.E.R. box, please contact us. We will happily accept a donation on behalf of the Library.
