About Friends of Newark Public Library

The Friends of Newark Public Library is a 501C-3 membership organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the Newark Public Library through programs, advocacy and financial support. By joining the Friends, you attend cultural and educational programs that support the Library in many ways including their special collections. You also help promote the Library's vast resources for children and young adults.

You become an advocate on behalf of The Newark Public Library which helps this important facility gets its fair share of government funding and resources.

Friends volunteer and help organize events that promote the Library in the community and beyond. They provide funding for the library to purchase new materials and update essential collections.
